Dr. Ronald R. Pollina was exceptionally devoted to ITRA Global. A highly accomplished corporate real estate professional and geo-economist, Ron joined the organization in 1997. His commitment and contributions to ITRA Global were immeasurable. From 2002 to 2010, Ron served as Chairman of the ITRA Global Board of Directors, bringing outstanding leadership skills to the organization during a challenging period. Following his tenure as Chairman, Ron was appointed the organization’s first Chairman Emeritus. Shortly before Ron passed away in August, 2015, he shared with friends and family how proud he was to have had the opportunity to play a part in the significant achievements of ITRA Global. Ron was a friend, a mentor, a visionary and a remarkable leader.
ITRA Global recognized Ron’s enduring legacy by establishing the Ronald R. Pollina PhD Diamond Leadership Award in 2016, the highest honor to be bestowed upon a deserving ITRA Global member. The recipient of the award is an individual who has been exceptionally dedicated to ITRA Global, has served the organization selflessly over an extended period of time, has been a generous and effective mentor for others and has provided extraordinary and innovative leadership, paving the way to unprecedented success for ITRA Global.
