Debra Stracke Anderson, President of Washington, D.C.-based Sloan Street Advisors / ITRA Global, has been chosen for the elite “Women of Influence – Standouts” by ALM’s Real Estate Forum and globest.com, the leading publications of the commercial real estate industry. The special category was newly created to highlight seven women who, per the judges’ discretion, had gone above and beyond the categories for which they were nominated.
Anderson was also selected by ALM for its “Women of Influence” special 20th Anniversary publication in 2013 and in 2018 she was inducted into the media group’s “Hall of Fame”. Her company provides transactional representation, brokerage and consulting services exclusively for corporate users of office and industrial properties, serving a clientele ranging from entrepreneurial and governmental entities to Fortune 500 companies.
Anderson earned the prestigious SIOR designation, based on business volume, and is a Certified Commercial Investment Member of the CCIM Institute, denoting a graduate level education in commercial real estate investment. She has been highlighted by the Washington Business Journal in the category of largest office lease transactions and was named a “Woman of Influence” by Virginia Lawyers Media, which annually recognizes the outstanding efforts of women in all fields.
Anderson was elected to the ITRA Global board of directors in 2004 and served as chairman for 2010, 2011, 2018 and 2019. The first woman to hold the seat, she received the “Exemplary Service Award” and the “Ronald R. Pollina PhD Diamond Leadership Award”, ITRA Global’s top award, highlighting outstanding leadership and contributions to the organization. She is a frequent author and speaker and has also served on the board for organizations that work to improve the lives of at-risk children.
