RealFMG was founded in 1998 and is led by Managing Director Kerry Millar, a founding partner. RealFMG is a corporate real estate strategy and implementation firm. We have worked extensively over the last 20 years to develop processes, methodologies, and tools that give our clients minimum risk and maximum reward when it comes to their corporate real estate needs. As a firm, we have been involved in the successful implementation of countless real estate transactions; transactions that measure in billions of Rands.

We act on behalf of any client that needs help with commercial or industrial real estate strategy, implementation or technical advice, and on principle we work independently of all landlords or any other real estate group. To better guide our clients, we provide them with a variety of services in relation to corporate real estate.

We offer strategic real estate, advice, and implementation for our clients. We link corporate strategy to corporate occupancy helping tenants and occupiers to better understand and leverage the capacities of real estate in pursuit of their objectives.

In 1986, Kerry became the commercial property broker for Landmark Real Estate. By the time Landmark was sold in 1989, Kerry was heading up the commercial broking department of the firm. At Divaris Property Brokers and Agents Kerry continued his work in commercial real estate. From 1989 to 1992, Kerry worked in investment broking and property management for Marriott Property Services. He managed the first Old Mutual outsourced portfolio, which grew from eight to seventy-two properties during his tenure. He spent one-and-a-half years as an investment broker, and two years doing property management. This range of experiences ensured that he understood how the major role players in the commercial property market functioned.

In 1992, Kerry was head hunted by Sage Property Trust to manage leasing aspects of their Pioneer Property Fund. Thereafter, he joined the Mortimer Property Group, which later became Lyons Asset Management. While employed there, he developed the first workable tenant representation model in South Africa and was appointed Director. He was in charge of investment broking, innovation and troubleshooting. From 2003 to 2006 Kerry was a member of the consultative committee for the IPD, the Investment Property Databank.

In 1998, Kerry left Lyons to co-found his own business, Real FMG. Kerry is a Professional Member of RICS, the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.
