Pittsburgh is One of the Most Dynamic Real Estate Markets in North America

June 05, 2012

PITTSBURGH  - ITRA Global, one of the largest real estate organizations representing corporate tenants and occupiers of commercial real estate worldwide, recently held its spring 2012 conference in Pittsburgh.

Carrie Holstead, president of Pittsburgh-based Carrie Holstead Real Estate Consultants, Inc. and chairman of the board of directors of ITRA Global, was influential in securing this opportunity for the region. While here, managing principals from ITRA’s offices in 80-plus major markets in North America, Latin America, Europe and Asia were introduced to “one of the most dynamic 21st-century markets in North America,” as Holstead describes Pittsburgh.

“The conference provided the perfect opportunity for ITRA’s affiliate offices to learn more about what makes Pittsburgh a model city and region that continues to receive acclaim,” she said.

The Pittsburgh Regional Alliance (PRA) – the region’s marketing organization and an affiliate of the Allegheny Conference on Community Development – sponsored the conference because it provided the organization with a forum to interact with executives from around the globe who influence relocation and expansion decisions of their corporate clients.

“It’s important to the Pittsburgh region’s continued economic growth that we establish and maintain relationships with these influencers,” said PRA President Dewitt Peart. “Having them here allows us to showcase the region’s many live-work advantages, and our region shows beautifully. Those who haven’t previously experienced it leave awed.  They tell us, ‘we didn’t fully appreciate just how vibrant and attractive Pittsburgh is.’”
